The start of a new school year is a time for fresh ideas, renewed energy, and a shared focus on what students need most. At the annual RCPS Start-Up Meeting for administrators and principals, Rockdale Education Foundation Board President Susan Paul Smith helped set that tone by reintroducing the Foundation, its refreshed identity, expanded vision, and renewed commitment to serving as a strong partner to Rockdale County Public Schools.

The gathering also provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate what that partnership looks like in action. Susan presented Honey Creek Elementary School with a Views on Education grant, recognizing an innovative project designed to create meaningful learning opportunities for students. The award was more than a check. It was a reminder to school leaders across the district that great ideas deserve the opportunity to grow, and the Foundation is working to help make that possible.

By standing alongside RCPS leaders at the very beginning of the school year, the Foundation reinforced an important promise: when educators see a need, imagine something better, or dream bigger for their students, they have a community partner ready to help turn those ideas into impact.
